Two days and 1450 miles and here we are. Pleasant ride, no traffic, good weather, 15 year aged Wisconsin Cheddar and feeling blessed in Sioux Falls, SD.
The Route: I84 W to PA. I80W to Ohio through Indiana and Illinois. 294N/80W/90W to Wisconsin, Minnesota to South Dakota.
Stay over in Fremont, Indiana at the Quality Inn. Great hotel, nicest staff and clean room!
Road Stop in Wisconsin to pick up some kickass 15 year aged cheddar at Ehlenbach’s Cheese Market.
Settled in at The Sheraton Hotel and Conference Center, Sioux Falls, SD. Inexpensive hotel, a little older but very clean. Dinner at the Crooked Pint, great burgers, wonderful salad and good draft selection.
Tomorrow kicks off the first leg of our adventure. Things have already changed from our original plan. We gained some time and have added on a morning trip to Falls Park. Early rise, a cup of Joe, a Nikon and a morning stroll around the falls.
We should arrive at Badlands National Park by noon, 8 hours earlier than planned. This has allowed us to add on a visit to Deadwood, SD.
